La programmation étant encore en cours, d’autres artistes viendront enrichir l’affiche du festival.
Marsatac revient en force du 23 au 25 septembre 2010 pour sa 12ème édition et relève le défi de proposer encore plus d’artistes à sa programmation. Une programmation musicale toujours aussi exigeante et novatrice qui fait de Marsatac le rendez-vous musical incontournable de la rentrée et l’une des plus importantes manifestations de musiques actuelles en France et en PACA.
Au programme de cette 12ème édition, une cinquantaine de formations issues du monde entier et 3 nuits dédiées au hip hop, à l’électro, au rock et à tous les courants transversaux. A l’honneur cette année, des figures historiques du hip hop, de talentueux agitateurs de dance-floor, des performances alliant mix et vidéos, des shows de beatbox à couper le souffle et bien d’autres explorations artistiques. Sans oublier une sélection de jeunes talents qui cette année sont invités à jouer sur les scènes principales du festival. Bref, un savant équilibre d’artistes confirmés, talents émergents, têtes d’affiches et performeurs worlwide.
En 2010, après avoir pris la mesure de son empreinte carbone, le festival intensifie ses actions autour des modes de transports des publics et poursuit sa sensibilisation aux enjeux environnementaux.
La conférence de presse de la 12° édition du Marsatac se tiendra à Marseille le jeudi 9 septembre 2010.

Live Tropical Fish were formed in Bologna (Italy) in 1992 and feature Fabrizio “Doc Bix” Poli (Percussion), Antonio “Lurpak” Fernè (Bass) and Salvo Pignanelli (Guitar).
The new album by Live Tropical Fish, THE DAY IS TOO SHORT TO BE SELFISH, is a 12 track journey from soul to R&B, from funk to jazz, from latin to afrobeat and features guest performances from some of the leading names from the world of contemporary soul: Omar Lye-Fook (London, UK), Deborah Jordan (London, UK), Laurnea (Los Angeles, USA), Alison Crockett (New York City, USA), Nick Rolfe (New York City, USA), Maya Azucena (New York City, USA), April Hill (New York City, USA)
Other accomplished musicians on the album include Fabio Morgera, a trumpet player well known both on the New York scene and for years as a member of the Groove Collective, Stefano Serafini, trumpet player with the italian soul star Mario Biondi and Daniele Giardina, trumpet player with Fiorello’s orchestra. Fiorello is also one of Italy’s most famous comics!
The Live Tropical Fish first album Shape Your Life, was released through Irma Records/Sony in 1997 and saw the the group working together with Jay Rodriguez, saxophonist and leader of The Groove Collective (NYC-USA). Their songs have since appeared on numerous international compilations.
